A low-fuss sports digital for a smaller wrist.

Who shouldn't buy it: Don't buy it if you want hands on a dial: it shows the time in digits.

Before you buy
This is the band where a good automatic becomes affordable: the Seiko 5 Sports and Orient's Kamasu and Bambino wind themselves as you wear them. An automatic of this price gains or loses several seconds a day and will want a service after some years, which can cost as much as the watch did; a solar Citizen or Seiko keeps better time with almost no upkeep. Neither is wrong, it depends whether you enjoy the mechanism.
How we choose

We pick from what UK shops actually sell, compare the makers' published specs (movement, size, water resistance, glass) and check UK prices and price history through the day. We don't have every watch in hand: a pick is marked hands-on only when we have worn it. Commissions never change a pick or its place on the list. Read our full methodology →
